breathwork invites us into deeper relationship with our whole selves.

what is breathwork?

at its core, breathwork is simply breathing intentionally and consciously.

our breath is a prayer for our living bodies.

in this practice, we will primarily focus on the multi-part breath as an ally for activating our parasympathetic nervous system. in doing so, we can offer ourselves the opportunity to explore our emotions, experiences, and personal stories at a deep, somatic level.

within this deeper space, we have the opportunity to release what no longer serves and invite new stories and ways of being to take their place.

our breath is able to speak to parts of us that words never could, and for so many of us, those are the parts that are asking for tending, for healing.

breathwork is a powerful somatic modality that trusts the intrinsic wisdom and intuitive knowing that we already carry in our bodies, and invites it forth to support us as we continue to come home to ourselves over and over again.

what folks are saying about breathwork:

    • nervous system support + regulation

    • more ease in accessing inner knowing, memory, wisdom, intuition

    • opportunities to release old beliefs and patterns that no longer serve

    • a supported, contained, intuitive way, to move through big and/or difficult emotions or memories (trauma processing + release)

    • moving stuck energy and blocks within our bodies

    • supports creativity + inspiration

    • supports focus and grounding

    • increased energy + clarity

  • *all of my sessions are currently offered remotely via zoom.

each session is different depending upon what you are wanting or needing at this time. sometimes we may think we know what a session is going to be about, but ultimately, our experience with our breath may lead us somewhere totally different. in many ways, I think that’s one of the most beautiful things about breathwork. our bodies know, and sometimes all we need to do is get out of the way.

here are a few basics about each session:

    • each session is 90-min in length

    • we will spend a portion at the beginning talking, grounding, and setting an intention for the session.

    • we will focus the middle part of our session on the breath practice and experience itself. there will be a period of active breath, followed by a period of incorporation and rest. (i primarily teach the multi-part breath pattern, but will meet you wherever you are in your journey with breath and support you in co-creating an accessible experience). *if you have additional questions, needs, or concerns about accessibility, please reach out to me. i would love to hear from you.

    • the end of our session will leave space for supporting you as you incorporate your experience.

    • what is breathwork and what are its origins?

      • controlled patterns and methods of breathing to encourage energy and connection have been practiced in many cultures throughout the world. The type of connected, multi-part breath that i work with specifically, has roots in pranayama techniques developed within Hindu + Buddhist traditions. these concepts have since been adapted by practitioners throughout the world who have developed some of the more modern techniques such as Holotropic Breathwork, Whim Hoff, Connected Breath, and the multi-part breath that i practice.

    • what is possible with breathwork?

      • a supported, contained, intuitive way, to move through big and/or difficult emotions or memories

      • moving stuck energy and blocks within our bodies

      • supports creativity + inspiration

      • supports focus and grounding

      • increased energy

    • is breathwork safe?

      • in terms of physical health, breathwork is a generally safe practice for many people. it is not recommended for folks with the following conditions:

        • epilepsy

        • glaucoma (untreated)

        • high blood pressure (untreated)

        • cardiovascular disease

        • family hx of aneurysm

        • strokes and/or other phsyiological conditions

        • severe osteoporosis

        • pregnancy

    • does breathwork have any side effects?

      • breathwork can invite strong physical sensations (tingling, numbness, cramping, etc.) and experiences of intense emotional release. Experiences may also have psychedelic qualities (visuals, sensations, etc.). At this time breathwork is not known to have any lasting side effects, and all of those listed above subside with the discontinuation of the breath practice and return to normal breath.

  • 90min session: $105

    package of 4- 90min sessions: $390

low-cost option: i believe that supported practices like breathwork should be accessible to as many folks as possible. i currently offer 2 low-cost sessions per month @ $45/session, and hope to be able to add more in the future.

BIPOC//trans//disabled folks are prioritized, but anyone may request a low-cost session. please email me if you would like to claim one. if i do not have any sessions remaining for the month, i will add you to the waitlist for the following month.

*if this cost still feels unrealistic for you at this time, I encourage you to check out my group offerings below. Each group session is offered on a sliding-fee scale and includes a zero-cost option.
